Andy was born and raised in San Antonio, TX and graduated from Madison High School in 1986. He went on to attend Texas A&M University in the Fall of 1986. Andy lettered in football as a member of the original Texas A&M 12th Man Kick Off Team and graduated in 1990 with a degree in Kinesiology. He then attended Southwest Texas State University where he received a degree in Physical Therapy in 1995. In 1996 Andy and his wife moved to Fredericksburg where he began his career in physical therapy. As an owner of SM&PT Andy opened a new outpatient clinic in Fredericksburg in 2001 and played an active role in developing satellite clinics in Marble Falls, Llano, Blanco, and Kerrville.

Andy is married to Kelli and they have two boys that keep them very busy with sports and school activities. As a family they enjoy any activity around the water and especially love family trips to the beach.

Jody Brown, PT

Jody was born and raised in Stephenville, TX. After graduating from Stephenville High School in 1995, he attended Abilene Christian University where he graduated in the Spring of 1999 with a BS in Biology. Jody lettered in football four years at ACU. He then enrolled in Hardin-Simmons University’s Physical Therapy program and graduated with a Masters in Physical Therapy December 2001. Jody joined the SM&PT family in January 2002, became an owner in 2005 and helped open the Kerrville SM&PT clinic in April 2006.

Jody is married to Keedra and they have 2 children. They stay very busy outside of SM&PT supporting their kids in many different sports.

Ardra Hughes, PT, ScD

Ardra is from Texas and graduated high school from Medina Valley in 1990. After graduation she attended Brevard College where she received an Associate degree in 1992. In 1994 she earned a Bachelor of Science, and graduated Summa Cum Laude, from Lubbock Christian University She also competed on scholarship in cross country and track throughout her undergraduate education. Ardra went on to receive her Master of Physical Therapy from Hardin Simmons University in 1998 and joined the SM&PT team in 2005 where she became an owner in 2009. While working with SM&PT she continued her education and earned a Doctor of Science from Texas Tech University Health Science Center in 2010. Ardra is an APTA Board Certified Sports Specialist, IAOM certified, and TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) Certified.

Brad Klepser, PT, DPT

Brad Klepser, PT, DPT

Brad earned a Bachelor of Science from Nova Southwestern University in 2003 and his Doctoral of Physical Therapy from Nova Southwestern University in 2007. He joined the SM&PT team in March of 2008 and currently sees patients in our Llano and Kingsland clinics. Brad has great interest in Orthopedics, Neurology and Vestibular physical therapy.

Brad enjoys the outdoors, boating, traveling, painting, building, art, music and spending time with his wife and family.

Brent Denny, PT, DPT, ScD

Brent Denny, PT, DPT, ScD

Brent has been a full-time clinician in the greater hill country region of Texas since 2011. He received his BS in Criminal Justice from the University of North Texas in 2005. He achieved is entry level Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center on 2011 and his terminal Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy (ScD) in 2018. He delivered his clinical dissertation course, Applied Motor Control Assessment & Treatment in the Low Back Pain Population in October of 2017. He holds certifications in orthopedic manual therapy (COMT) through the IAOM-US in upper & lower spine, upper & lower extremities and is currently a fellowship candidate under the mentorship of Dr. JM Brismee’.

Bruce Welborn PT, DPT

Bruce Welborn PT, DPT

Bruce is from Victoria Texas, and graduated from Samuel Clements High School in Schertz, Texas. He attended The University of Houston Victoria and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. He continued his education at Texas Tech University Health Science Center where he graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2010. He is certified in Selective Functional Movements Assessment (SFMA) and National registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME) with continued education in McKenzie, dry needling, and restricted based approach. Bruce is married to Tonja and has 2 boys Sterling and Stayton.

Caitlin Riley, PT, DPT

Caitlin, a native of Austin, Texas, graduated Summa Cum Laude from Angelo State University in 2010with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She continued her education at Angelo State and earned herDoctorate of Physical Therapy in 2013. Caitlin joined the SM&PT team in 2014. She enjoys treating orthopedic, sports, and vestibular patients. She also serves in additional roles within the company. Lifelong volunteer work is important to her, from when she earned her Gold Award in Girl Scouts to currently volunteering at an outdoor challenge course that focuses on leader and team development.

She also enjoys other outdoor activities, such as kayaking and camping, with her husband Reece and family.

Brandy Brooks, PT, DPT

Brandy was born and raised in Rockdale, Texas, where she graduated from Rockdale High School in 2007. She went on to play college softball at St. Edward’s University in Austin for two years, then transferred to The University of Texas at Austin and graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in May of 2011. She then enrolled in Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Physical Therapy Program, was a member of the Alpha Eta Honor Society, and graduated in May 2015 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Brandy is married to Jimmy and they have three sons. They stay busy attending sporting and school events, enjoy live music scenes, spending time on the family ranch in Harper, and relaxing in the river.

Jeremy Harrison, PT, DPT

Jeremy is originally from Wink, Texas and joined SM&PT in 2015. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences in 2008 before his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2011, both from Texas Tech University Health Science Center (TTUHSC) in Lubbock, Texas. Since school Jeremy has been focused on continuing education and manual therapy certification through IAOM (International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine) and he is currently working towards his Doctorate of Science in Physical Therapy through TTUHSC with a focus on research in physical therapy.

Jeremy enjoys volunteering in the Fredericksburg Volunteer Fire Department, spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, hiking, riding his Harley and other recreational activities.

Erika North, PT

Erika North, PT

Erika graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science and a minor in Public Relations in 2002. She graduated from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center with a Masters degree in Physical Therapy in 2006.

She enjoys treating both adult and pediatric patients with orthopedic neurological conditions. Erika joined SM&PT in 2017.
Erika loves exploring the Hill Country with her three children, and her two dogs.

Haily Hickey PT, DPT

Haily Hickey PT, DPT

Haily was born and raised in Holland, MI where she attended and graduated from West Ottawa High School. She then attended West Virginia University (WVU) to pursue her career in Physical Therapy. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology in 2015. Haily continued with her education at WVU and went on to graduate with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2018. During her time at WVU, she competed as a four-year athlete in the Big 12 on a Diving Scholarship. Following graduation, she moved to the Austin area with her husband, and joined SM&PT in 2019.
Haily is married to James and they are enjoying their new home here in Texas and love exploring the Hill Country with their adorable puppy, Parker.

Jacob (Jake) Hoermann grew up in the Fredericksburg, TX area. He attended Hardin-Simmons University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. Following his undergraduate studies, he remained at Hardin-Simmons University to attain his Doctor of Physical Therapy and soon after began working at SM&PT. While completing his undergraduate studies he met his wife, Kaitlin, and has been married for four wonderful years. They were recently blessed with their first baby boy, Warren, in March of 2020. Following his undergraduate studies, he remained at Hardin-Simmons University to attain his Doctor of Physical Therapy and soon after began working at SM&PT.

Shelly Hubbard, PTA

Shelly was born in Oklahoma and moved to Midland as a child where she has been since she moved to the Hill Country in 2020. Shelly attended Odessa College where she studied and graduated from the Physical Therapy Assistant Program in 1996. During her career she has been a clinical instructor and received her certification as a Cooper’s clinic Fitness Specialist (Personal Trainer). Shelly has two children and five grandchildren. She enjoys Triathlon’s, snow skiing, riding her motorcycle and playing the guitar.

Stacey Asbill, PT

Stacey Asbill, PT

Stacey is originally from Sonora, TX and graduated from Sonora High School in 1999. She then attended Angelo State University and graduated in 2003 with a Master of Physical Therapy degree. Stacey joined SM&PT in 2019.
Stacey and her husband have four children who keep them very busy and enjoy ranching near Mason.
