Andy was born and raised in San Antonio, TX and graduated from Madison High School in 1986. He went on to attend Texas A&M University in the Fall of 1986. Andy lettered in football as a member of the original Texas A&M 12th Man Kick Off Team and graduated in 1990 with a degree in Kinesiology. He then attended Southwest Texas State University where he received a degree in Physical Therapy in 1995. In 1996 Andy and his wife moved to Fredericksburg where he began his career in physical therapy. As an owner of SM&PT Andy opened a new outpatient clinic in Fredericksburg in 2001 and played an active role in developing satellite clinics in Marble Falls, Llano, Blanco, and Kerrville.

Andy is married to Kelli and they have two boys that keep them very busy with sports and school activities. As a family they enjoy any activity around the water and especially love family trips to the beach.

Jody Brown, PT

Owner

Jody was born and raised in Stephenville, TX. After graduating from Stephenville High School in 1995, he attended Abilene Christian University where he graduated in the Spring of 1999 with a BS in Biology. Jody lettered in football four years at ACU. He then enrolled in Hardin-Simmons University’s Physical Therapy program and graduated with a Masters in Physical Therapy December 2001. Jody joined the SM&PT family in January 2002, became an owner in 2005 and helped open the Kerrville SM&PT clinic in April 2006.

Jody is married to Keedra and they have 2 children. They stay very busy outside of SM&PT supporting their kids in many different sports.

Ardra Hughes, PT, ScD

Owner

Ardra is from Texas and graduated high school from Medina Valley in 1990. After graduation she attended Brevard College where she received an Associate degree in 1992. In 1994 she earned a Bachelor of Science, and graduated Summa Cum Laude, from Lubbock Christian University She also competed on scholarship in cross country and track throughout her undergraduate education. Ardra went on to receive her Masters of Physical Therapy from Hardin Simmons University in 1998 and joined the SM&PT team in 2005 where she became an owner in 2009. While working with SM&PT she continued her education and earned a Doctorate of Science from Texas Tech University Health Science Center in 2010. Ardra is an APTA Board Certified Sports Specialist, IAOM certified, NSCA certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) Certified and a Licensed Massage Therapist.

Ardra and her husband Mickey are busy raising their two boys and their favorite pastime is participating is fun sporting events with friends and family.

Brad Klepser, PT, DPT

Brad Klepser, PT, DPT

Brad earned a Bachelor of Science from Nova Southwestern University in 2003 and his Doctoral of Physical Therapy from Nova Southwestern University in 2007. He joined the SM&PT team in March of 2008 and currently sees patients in our Llano and Kingsland clinics. Brad has great interest in Orthopedics, Neurology and Vestibular physical therapy.

Brad enjoys the outdoors, boating, traveling, painting, building, art, music and spending time with his wife and family.

Brent Denny, PT, DPT, ScD

Brent Denny, PT, DPT, ScD

Brent is originally from Midland, Texas and joined SM&PT in 2011. He earned a Bachelor of Criminal Justice from the University of North Texas in 2005 and a Doctoral of Physical Therapy from Texas Tech Health Science Center in 2011. Brent is focused on post professional education in orthopedics and manual therapy to the spine and is working towards his Spine Certification through IAOM.

Brent enjoys outdoor activities involving camping, hiking, hunting and fishing.

Caitlin Riley, PT, DPT

Caitlin Riley, PT, DPT

Caitlin a native of Austin, Texas graduated Summa Cum Laude from Angelo State University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She continued her education at Angelo State and earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2013 with a certification in strength and conditioning. Caitlin joined the SM&PT team in 2014.

Caitlin enjoys outdoor adventure activities such as whitewater rafting, mountain backpacking and skydiving. In 2006, she earned the highest honor awarded by the Girl Scouts known as the Gold Award. Caitlin actively volunteers her time as a builder and senior facilitator for a non-profit challenge course program designed for leader and team development; the program serves both youth and adult groups.

Nick Engel, PT, DPT

Nick Engel, PT, DPT

Nick graduated with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2009 from Hardin-Simmons University and is currently pursuing certification through the Institute of Physical Art in Functional Manual Therapy. Prior to that, he attended Texas A&M University where he received a Bachelors in Applied Exercise Physiology.

Nick is originally from Abilene, TX and is married with two children. In his free time, he enjoys being on the lake with family and trying to stay active.

Caughey Richardson, PT, DPT

Caughey Richardson, PT, DPT

Caughey is a board licensed Doctor of Physical therapy, and earned her degree from Texas State University in 2015. She enjoys treating orthopedic, neurological, and vestibular conditions. She is also a member of the Texas A&M Class of 2007, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a minor in Coaching, and gained hands on research experience with faculty in neuroscience. Prior to joining the SM&PT Marble Falls Team in 2015, she spent several years as a coach for various USA Gymnastics, TAAF, and UIL competitive gymnastics teams in both Dallas and College Station, and served as a USAG Junior Olympic Judge.

In her spare time, Caughey likes trekking through the Hill Country on foot or in her Jeep, exploring rivers and watering holes, attending live music events, and supporting Austin’s local musicians.

Brandy Brooks, PT, DPT

Brandy was born and raised in Rockdale, Texas, where she graduated from Rockdale High School in 2007. She went on to play college softball at St. Edward’s University in Austin for two years, then transferred to The University of Texas at Austin and graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in May of 2011. She then enrolled in Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center’s Physical Therapy Program, was a member of the Alpha Eta Honor Society, and graduated in May 2015 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

Brandy enjoys spending time with her husband and son, attending sporting events, live music scenes, and spending time on the lake.

Jeremy Harrison, PT, DPT

Jeremy is originally from Wink, Texas and joined SM&PT in 2015. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences in 2008 before his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2011, both from Texas Tech University Health Science Center (TTUHSC) in Lubbock, Texas. Since school Jeremy has been focused on continuing education and manual therapy certification through IAOM (International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine) and he is currently working towards his Doctorate of Science in Physical Therapy through TTUHSC with a focus on research in physical therapy.

Jeremy enjoys volunteering in the Fredericksburg Volunteer Fire Department, spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, hiking, riding his Harley and other recreational activities.

Erika North, PT

Erika North, PT

Erika graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science and a minor in Public Relations in 2002. She graduated from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center with a Masters degree in Physical Therapy in 2006.

She enjoys treating both adult and pediatric patients with orthopedic neurological conditions. Erika joined SM&PT in 2017.
Erika loves exploring the Hill Country with her three children, and her two dogs.

Jacy York, PTA

Jacy York, PTA

Jacy York BS, PTA originally from Earth, TX graduated from Texas A&M University in 2015 with her BS in Kinesiology. She then went on to receive an AAS with Honors from the Blinn Physical Therapy Assistant program in 2017. Jacy spent the last year working with patients recovering from neurological injuries in Fort Worth, TX. Jacy has a passion for helping others become more functional, improve quality of life, and recover from injuries.

She enjoys being outdoors, playing in the water, and hanging out with her friends, family, boyfriend, and dog. She loves new adventures, traveling, and personal fitness.

Kerry Harvey, PTA

Kerry Harvey, PTA

Kerry is originally from Orland Park, Illinois, and moved to Texas in 2007. She graduated with Honors in 1999 from Kankakee Community College with PTA degree and was a Member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and on the Dean’s List. When not working with her physical therapy patients she is a Bowling, Basketball, Track & Field and Equestrian Special Olympics Coach. In her spare time Kerry loves to do anything outdoors - especially on the lake or at the coast.
